The school have an After School Club, and are having to do paper registers. The school would like to be able to do this on Arbor, however, as the students change daily, using a standard course would not work for this. It would be great that they could, as part of the club area, record attendance of the students.
Why are they doing that task? - They have to legally do this as they need to show that the student did go to the club. Apparently they have issues where students don't not turn up and just go in to town.
What task are they trying to accomplish but can’t? - To take register for After School Club on Arbor.
What do they currently have to do instead? - Paper register.
How does solving this problem add value to our users and to our business? - One of the main focus of an MIS is to take attendance, this will help make Arbor a more rounded attendance tool, which could also be used for things like trips (i.e. checking if they have all the students on the bus/plane etc.).
How time critical is this problem? - It is quite important to the school, as they want to keep a record of this on Arbor with the rest of the registers.
How does solving this problem help us mitigate risks or open up new opportunities. - It opens up the clubs/trips section, making it more usable for teachers and attendance reports for all schools in general.
Teacher taking registers, also easier for admin to set it all in Arbor instead of having to use excel and print it off.5) How:
